How well does your name Google? Who are you up against? (Celebrities, etc.)
Submitted by Matt Blank.
Searched in Japanese, nothing is found, because I haven't revealed my real name on the Net. On the other hand, in alphabetical name, my page on CPAN found. It is not because of that I've veiled my Japanese name from the Net intentionally or I want to be anonymous, but only haven't had a necessity to appeal it widely to the Net. Actually, as written before, whenever there's an adequate necessity, I use my real name.
What is one of your favorite poems?
Submitted by marvel is my pen name.
Hmm, there're many poems I like. Here's the one that has come to me now, Machida Ko's "頭腐":
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
頭が腐っているのじゃよ
It just repeats only the one phrase, you see, "頭が腐っているのじゃよ" which means like "My head has been going rancid". I can't translate the funny nuance of the original to English, I'm sorry.

Windows, Mac, Linux - What's your preference and why?
Submitted by ramblingsbymark.
I don't stick to any OSes at all. Windows, Mac, or Linux, all are welcome ;)
The softwares I use routinely are listed below:
- Firefox (Web browser)
- iTunes (music player)
- Putty (SSH client)
- coLinux (virtual Linux environment)
- Emacs (editor)
- Skype (online phone, but I mainly use it as IM)
- limechat (IRC client)
Are there such softwares in the list that can be used only in specific OSes? No, or properly speaking, there are appropriate alternatives in each environments. In addition, I've promoted myself to replace the softwares which work on my computers with online services. For instance, I consolidate e-mails from multiple accounts with Gmail, manage tasks and schedules with Google Calendar, and scratch memos on weblogs or some such tools. Personally, OSes don't matter.
How did you pick your Vox name? Does it mean something?
Submitted by LeendaDLL.
antipop.vox.com was named after miyagawa's bulknews.vox.com. antipop is the name of my blog. No more and no less.
My nickname kentaro is my real given-name. There's no funny story neither...
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Why?
Submitted by abcdefg81.
It's nowhere but Tokyo!
I've been completely disgusted with rural life and bleak future dropping year by year, so I'll take a risk to change my life before long time.
How many computers do you have in your house?
Submitted by Foomper.
Now I have two desktop computers, iMac G5 and non-brand-name model of Windows PC, and two laptops, Thinkpad X41 & VAIO. I usually work on mainly Thinkpad. I love it indeed. They are used like this:
- Thinkpad - It's sort of like a window for the world for me
- iMac - mostly used as media storage for iTunes and DVD player
- PC - sub Windows box
- VAIO - serving antipop.gs which hosts my own Web sites, IRC proxy, other utilities etc.
I used to have more computers, but presented them to my sisters and cousins. There were 8 computers at peak, I think.
